HELLO! I'm a features writer for Yankee and Down East magazines specializing in the relationship between people and their homes.

In my nearly two decades as a Maine reporter, I've traveled all around the state and written about everything from the spookiest town in New England to how the Wabanaki tradition of basket making is threatened by the tiny ash borer beetle. Lately, I've been sticking closer to home -- other people's homes, that is. I write profiles of homes and their inhabitants focusing on what decor and design tell us about individual concepts of beauty, comfort, and joy. Home, I have discovered, is that tangible, often overlooked piece of the human experience that gets right to the heart of what people value.

Have an idea for a magazine or radio profile of a home? I'd love to hear from you! Drop me a line.
