HELLO! My name is Sara Anne Donnelly. I write features and essays on New England culture and homes for Yankee, Down East, Maine Homes, and Maine Public Radio.

Over twenty years as a reporter, I've written about many aspects of life here in my beloved east land  favorite pieces include a profile of Stephen King's terrifying hometown, the plight of America's most hated bird, and how the best view at Acadia National Park just might be straight up. Of late, I've been profiling lots of artists (like this Scarborough taxidermist with a spiritual connection to peacocks) and homes and their humans (ever heard of the Wedding Cake House?). You can find more examples of my work in the virtual archives of the fine media outlets listed in paragraph one.
